ABSTRACT
The aim of our study was to determine the efficacy preoperative early arterial Computed tomography angiography (CTA) in donor nephrectomy, assess renal and venous structures kidneys.Seventy living candidates were included this study, who had CTA for assessment their vessels hospital between January 2011 2015. Only phase images obtained avoid exposing patients from high dose radiation. Scans reported by two radiologists independently. number arteries, veins tributaries documented. kidneys removed consultant surgeons, after back-table perfusion same details recorded taken as reference findings operation side.A total 70 potential live kidney donors underwent CTA, among them fifty five nephrectomy. A 140 evaluated 55 harvested compared with findings. There 40 that at least one accessory or polar artery. 5 branching retroaortic circumaortic veins. Three multiple Operation totally consistent nephrectomy.Arterial is sufficient evaluation both kidneys, precontrast, late imaging should be preserved only chosen circumstances radiation exposure.
