ABSTRACT
<strong>Background:</strong> A defining characteristic of dystonia is its position-dependence. In cervical (CD), sensory tricks ameliorate head tremor (HT). But it remains unknown whether raising the arms alone has same impact. <strong>Methods:</strong> We analyzed data collected from patients enrolled by Dystonia Coalition. For 120 with HT, we assessed how their without touching changed HT severity. <strong>Results:</strong> Forty-eight out exhibited changes in severity when arms. These were more likely to exhibit decreases (N = 35) than increases 13, χ<sup>2</sup> (1, N 48) 10.1, p 0.002). Demographic factors and trick efficacy not significant predictors <strong>Discussion:</strong> Raising a posture that can reduce some CD patients.
