Defining the teaching profiles of academic staff across a European universities alliance: Lessons learned after the pandemic and the way into the future

ABSTRACT
This study examines the teaching profiles of academic staff across a European universities alliance, explores lessons learned after pandemic, and outlines path forward. Improvements in higher education systems practices that embrace digital transition equip academics with necessary skills to facilitate quality learning are today’s rapidly changing societies. As COVID-19 pandemic swept world, educational institutions were forced adapt their state urgency. The University Technology (EUt+) was not immune pandemic’s impact. focused on how eight EUt+ responded adapting assessment practices. aimed at drawing staff, exploring different modes before, during, ways which can exchange knowledge value experiences related process. followed conventions exploratory research, employing mixed-methods approach; data obtained through an electronic questionnaire sent all members semi-structured focus-group sessions. Findings showed before majority delivered classes lectures, seminars, tutorial interaction, while traditional types such as closed book exams, project work, group or practical work frequently used. Furthermore, more conventional technology tools integrated into practice rather than new emerging technologies. Nevertheless, brought about several changes both methods, shifting attention tasks required use critical-thinking challenge limiting plagiarism.
