Catalytic conversion of palm acid oil and bulk cooking oil to biodiesel using Fe/aluminosilicate

ABSTRACT
The conversion of palm acid oil and bulk cooking into biodiesel presents considerable opportunities while employing catalysts. development effective catalysts, which may improve both esterification transesterification processes, is essential for optimizing production from these feedstocks. This study investigates a mixture (PAO) using an Fe/aluminosilicate catalyst synthesized via the wet impregnation method. Fe was derived iron sand, geothermal waste employed as source aluminosilicate silica. optimization conducted Central Composite Design (CCD) approach, with concentration, reaction temperature, molar ratio key variables. Catalyst characterization performed SEM-EDX XRD to analyze its structural elemental composition. results indicate that highest 90.2976% achieved under optimal conditions 2% temperature 65°C, 1:12. findings demonstrate potential catalysts efficiency promoting sustainable industrial utilization.
