ABSTRACT
Two hundred and 91 patients showing signs symptoms of bacterial vaginosis (BV) were randomized to receive topical treatment with Fitostimoline (vaginal cream vaginal ovules + washing) or benzydamine hydrochloride for 7 days. Signs (leucorrhoea, erythema, oedema, erosion) (burning, pain, itching, dryness, dyspareunia, dysuria) (scored 0–3) evaluated at baseline the end treatment; total score (TSS) was also calculated. In 125 patients, a confirmed by swab test. The primary efficacy variable analysis, that is, percentage therapeutic success (almost complete disappearance symptoms), demonstrated therapeutically equivalent pooled not inferior hydrochloride. All treatments well tolerated, only minor local adverse events infrequently reported. results this study gynaecological is safe effective BV.
