ABSTRACT
Objectives: The objective of this study was to assess the effects varying glucose and trehalose concentrations on tris-citric acid-egg yolk-fructose (TCEF) diluents for short-term cold storage goat semen. Materials Methods: semen sample collected, unwashed, divided into following groups: control (TCEF without trehalose), TCEF + (75, 150 mm), mm). Each experimental sperm group (sperm concentration: 9×107/ ml) kept at 4°C in a refrigerator. impact levels quality spermatozoa assessed different time points: after dilution 5, 24, 48, 72 h refrigeration. Results: After dilution, progressive motility (PM), total (TM), viability (SV), functional integrity (FI), acrosome G-75, G-150, T-75, T-150 did not differ significantly from control. PM, TM, SV, FI, were considerably lower than control, T-75 5 24 cool storage. showed superior FI 48 storage, with noticeably greater values other groups. Conclusion: This indicates that is more favorable sugar buck semen, providing advantages PMI.
