Herein, the synthesis, characterization and efficiency test of alum obtained from waste aluminium cans were investigated for wastewater treatment. Prior to synthesis alum, subjected physical treatments such as communition(size reduction), plastic components removal, colour label cleaning, pulverization etc. The physically treated later chemically step wisely converted alum-a viable double salt. process economy was found be 99.37%. synthesized purchased analyzed both qualitatively quantitatively. two samples exhibit similar coagulation performance.
