ABSTRACT
Prior research on performance of multi-market firms has ignored the roles played by market relationships beyond direct contact and a firm’s alliances in shaping firms. In this study, we examine how networks strategic influence Our analysis 222 semiconductor industry shows that betweenness centrality its network is negatively associated with performance. Yet, complementary resources provided alliance partners mitigate negative effect Theoretical practical implications our study are discussed.
