ABSTRACT
Drawing on the conservation of resources theory, we further develop theory humble leadership by (1) making first attempt to explore antecedents leader humility and establish quiet ego as an important source humility; (2) describing how can produce positive affective in followers evidenced increased relational energy decreased emotional exhaustion, which will enhance their performance; (3) theorizing testing perceived power organization boundary condition effectiveness. With a multi- phase, leader-follower dyadic survey (211 dyads), found that leaders’ is positively related expressed eyes followers. Additionally, results support our assertions has effect followers’ task performance increasing mechanisms with decreasing exhaustion. Lastly, for effectiveness humility, such tends be stronger when perceive more leader. Theoretical practical implications are discussed.
