ABSTRACT
The global pandemic left the world with prevailing uncertainties, which leaders continue to navigate and adapt in attempts create a new sense of normalcy for their employees. This major shift work elicits intense emotions (e.g., ambiguity, tension, fear) that must manage both themselves followers. Consequently, now, more than ever, pay attention own followers’ emotions. Leadership inherently have interpersonal outcomes, thus, it is important understand psychological mechanisms are at play its relevant outcomes. In present symposium, we advance role workplace relationships, namely leader-follower relationship, hopes further develop academics’ practitioners’ understanding effects (gratitude, positive negative affect) emotional capacities (emotional intelligence) may influence successful, healthier, happier environment. It our hope practitioners scholars will recognize importance take action healthier social interactions ultimately improve behaviors well-being during challenging transitions workforce currently faces.
