ABSTRACT
An influenza outbreak occurred at Purdue University’s swine barn, resulting in infection of 28 boars with A virus (H3N2) and causing the death two boars. The boars, approximately 35 weeks age, were enrolled a study time case report herein describes effects unintended on sperm production. Semen was collected from once week evaluated for total production concentration, semen volume, relative motility. Compared to previous collections, substantially decreased (26% reduction) 4 after first observed clinical signs remained low 6 subsequent weeks. then returned pre-outbreak levels maintained duration observation period. Sperm motility percent normal also slightly reduced 2
