The Impact of Digital Technology Use on Farmers Quality of Life: Evidence from Rural China

ABSTRACT
This study examines the impact of digital technology on quality life rural farmers in China using data from 2018 Family Panel Studies. Our analysis, based a sample 11,644 individuals, highlights that significantly enhances life, with notable differences across regional boundaries. The most pronounced benefits are observed eastern and central provinces, whereas western provinces show minimal improvement. Further, we identify non-farm employment job income as key mediators relationship between use improvements. These findings suggest targeted infrastructure investments could substantially benefit populations, particularly underdeveloped areas, advocating for region-specific approach to development China.
