ABSTRACT
Conflicts over the conservation of natural resources at community level occur in different forms and various levels severity. These conflicts can be defined as situations which allocation, management or use results attacks on human rights denial access to an extent that considerably diminishes welfare. However, conflict between authorities Dhudpukuria-Dhopachari Wildlife Sanctuary (DDWS) local people wildlife is one most serious issues Chittagong region Bangladesh. The DDWS managed under a co-management programme, but there are many questions have already been asked about success study area. A total 195 standardized, structured semi-structured questionnaires were administered randomly villagers. majority respondents reported they did not receive any potential benefit from DDWS, almost one-third had problems with DDWS. Almost all unable control damage caused by wildlife. More than 80% approach was effective mitigating protected areas. 45% participants program greater effectiveness non-participants. Moreover, who received more benefits Protected Areas (PA) those less no Integration knowledge preferences into process will ensure sustainability programme minimizing
