ABSTRACT
To evaluate short term results of percutaneous patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) closure in a cohort pediatric and adult patients following with the Amplatzer Ductal Occluder (ADO-1 ADO-2) Septal (ASO) devices.A total 48 (17 male 31 female; range 3 to 39 years) were included this study. All evaluated transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) before intervention. Percutaneous was performed under fluoroscopy through anterograde or retrograde route. Aortagraphy measure classify arteriosus. Residual shunt controlled by aortography at tenth minute TTE 24 hours three months after procedure. The released device ADO-1 25 (51.2%), ADO-2 22 (45.8%), ASO one patient. Mean follow-up 13.2 months. In 97.9% patients, occluder placed into without any complication. patient, embolized left pulmonary artery during implantation. Aortography ten minutes procedure showed complete 38 residual defect. revealed trace amounts within two flow around implantation, only patient month intervention.Transcatheter PDA devices has low morbidity mortality high rates success selected patients.
