ABSTRACT
In recent years, epicardial fat tissue (EFT) has been found to be strongly associated with the development of atrial fibrillation (AF). It was also reported a predictor cardiac arrhythmias in different clinical situations. However, current literature, role EFT thickness AF patients non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) not studied. this study, we aimed investigate relationship between and new-onset NSTEMI during in-hospital follow-up.We enrolled 493 consecutive who were diagnosed study. During follow-up, 68 developed AF, remaining 425 determined as control group. The thrombolysis (TIMI) risk score for calculated. All clinical, echocardiographic, laboratory parameters compared 2 groups.EFT higher group than controls (p<0.001). TIMI scores Logistic regression analysis demonstrated that an independent determinant (odds ratio 3.521, 95% confidence interval 1.616-6.314, p<0.001).Incident observed more frequently thickness. important NSTEMI.
