ABSTRACT
Erosion effects of a pulsating water jet impinging the surface aluminium alloy samples pre-treated by various techniques (rough and fine milling, planing rolling) were studied. The influence initial topography on final sample exposed to was investigated.Based roughness parameter Ra erosion layers analysed discussed in relation traversing speed jet.It found that pre-treatment have significant impact affected subsequently jet.Surfaces, whose properties are significantly action some machining processes (i.e.milling) show much greater resistance than unpaved surfaces (i.e.rolling) smaller roughness. While milled or fine) planed has approximately same increase parameter, only rolled up 150 times rougher after treatment. This is due small hardening reduced durability against comparison with others investigated techniques. The highest achieved all at lowest speeds, because affects for longer time.
