ABSTRACT
In the Central Iberian Zone, multiple subvolcanic intrusions were emplaced during final stages of Variscan orogeny. The felsic component this magmatic episode is mainly represented by dykes and masses granite porphyries microgranites, which can be commonly found in northern Portugal. Overall, these rocks are more evolved enriched rare incompatible metal elements (such as Li, Be, Rb, Cs, Nb, Ta, Sn, W) when compared to regional granites. data acquired from lithogeochemical study reported paper suggest that most porphyries/microgranites presumably resulted anatexis metapelitic protoliths, with some metagreywacke/orthogneiss contribution. existing compositional diversity essentially explained important differences regarding partial melting conditions, source heterogeneity, crystal fractionation phenomenon. aforementioned enrichments likely associated composition sources, muscovite biotite-dehydration-melting reactions, feldspar, biotite, Fe-Ti oxide-dominated mineral assemblages.
