Review of the application of semantic communication technology

With the development of communication technology, parties have higher and requirements for reliability frequency spectrum efficiency system, traditional mode cannot meet above requirements. Semantic introduces semantic coding, which can extract features from source information, so that system only needs to transmit required feature greatly reduces system's demand resources. At present, is mainly used in processing image, video, audio, text other divided into two modes: single multi-mode. This paper summarizes current research field communication, application unimodal multimodal methods respectively, information measurement finally explains significance prospects future direction communication.
