ABSTRACT
Introduction: This retrospective study aimed to compare short- and long-term outcomes between laparoscopicsleeve gastrectomy (SG) laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding (LAGB). Material methods: one-centre included patients who underwent bariatricsurgery in the form of LAGB SG. Results: %BMIL was significantly higher SG group than during postoperativefollow-up months (p < 0.001). had a lower %EWL compared at each month 0.05). After LAGB, 25.0% %EW ≥ 50%; LSG group, 44.8% achieved 50% 0.0001). The group’s 50 dependent on BMI before operation = 0.049). There are no postoperative complications after LAGB. A total 221 6 (2.7%) surgical within 30 days surgery. Postoperative long term were for 0.0062). Reoperation performed 16 (7%) 2 (0.9%) LSG. Conclusions: is more effective procedure contributing greater improvement weightloss. associated with surgery-related early period, but late complication rate led reoperation ratethan procedure.
