ABSTRACT
Introduction Osteitis pubis, also known as pubalgia, is a mainly chronic injury, very common, which significantly affects the career of athletes, men and young reappearing repeatedly because it occurs in an area that constantly active sports life, making difficult to rest thus generating numerous recurrences. Objectives Establish proper management treat this taking into account high competitiveness, understand know most effective treatment method between surgical conservative. Materials methods A complete investigation will be carried out from different articles studies by health professionals about treatments osteitis pubis at what time injury they were performed, these draw conclusion according results. Results: Different reviewed,76 athletes with diagnosis treated conservative averaging return activity 3 6 months depending on stage injury. Injection therapy showed positive results some patients 3-8 weeks, while other after 25 weeks injection did not benefit. 198 studied for treatment, average, prior surgery, presented preoperative symptoms 15 averaged recovery 9 regain competitiveness. Conclusion: OP should type lesion each patient, always started ignoring infiltrative therapies, wait more than opt treatment.
