PANCREATIC METASTASIS FROM RENAL CELL CARCINOMA: A CASE REPORT

ABSTRACT
Metastatic pancreatic cancer is rare and makes 2% to 5% of all malignant tumors this gland.Predominantly it a metastatic renal cell carcinoma (RCC -renal carcinoma), which shows expressed affinity the pancreas, often only place its expansion, typically several years decades after nephrectomy.The average time detection metastases 7 (described case 32.7 years).As multifocal lesions they occur in 20-45% cases when their treatment will depend on resectability changes, possible about 60% patients.We present 69-year-old female patient, whom solitary changes body pancreas were detected 3.5 nephrectomy for RCC.At examination, patient had no symptoms, change was by control computed tomography (CT) abdomen.After distal splenopancreatectomy metastasis kidney confirmed.Extensive regular follow up RCC necessary imposed unpredictable nature tumor.Despite existing radio-biological therapy, surgery occupies an important these metastases, radical surgical approach resectable offers chance survival.
