ABSTRACT
An experiment on commercial heterosis for yield and related components in test crosses of yellow maize (Zea mays L.) was conducted summer cropping season 2020, at Cereal Crops Research Institute (CCRI) Pirsabak, Nowshera. Data were recorded 50% pollen shedding, silking, plant height, ear earshectare-1, population ha-1, grain yield. Minimum50% shedding (60 days) the genotypes, G-10, G-17, G-29 G-30. Minimum (-0.81%) genotypes G-10 G-17 trait shedding. Lowest value silking (63 exhibited by G-29. (-0.76%) calculated genotype, (-2.30%). Plant height indicated shortest plants genotype G-5 with a numerical 126.7cm. (-22.0%) aforementioned quantitative trait. Among G-10exhibitedhighest (85.8cm). Maximum G-10for 17.04%. Greatest populationhectare-1(64667 ha-1)was G-44.Highest revealed G-44 (5.43%) hectare-1. earshectare-1 found G-56 (67333 ha-1). founded (9.78%). Highest yieldhectare-1 (8590 kg ha-1) produced G-62.
