ABSTRACT
This community service examines the empowerment and independence of Desa Binaan Bagan Kuala in Tanjung Beringin Sub-district Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra, through implementation ecotourism, ecoprint development activities, appropriate waste management, malaria eradication initiatives. The objectives this research are to assess socio-economic impacts these initiatives on local evaluate their contributions sustainable development. utilized a mixed-methods approach, collecting both qualitative quantitative data from 150 households village surveys interviews. findings indicate that ecotourism have generated 30% increase income, attracting over 1,000 visitors annually creating approximately 50 jobs. activities empowered 40 artisans, resulting 25% income production 2,000 items past year. Moreover, management practices has led 40% reduction pollution, with 75% participating segregation recycling programs. Malaria efforts also shown significant results, reported cases decreasing by 60% last two years due engagement health education distribution insecticide-treated nets. comprehensive approach not only enhances economic but promotes environmental sustainability public health. success demonstrates potential for rural communities Indonesia achieve participatory strategies address health-related challenges.
