ABSTRACT
Despite the recognized role that race and class play in second language acquisition (SLA) instruction, little attention is paid to how evaluate analyze these issues ESL texts. Drawing on examples from two adult texts, this article presents a text evaluation method based upon concept of critical awareness which allows curriculum developers teachers examine class.
