ABSTRACT
Two mechanical thrombectomy techniques are proposed for tandem occlusion of the anterior circulation: treating extracranial carotid artery lesion first via an antegrade approach and intracranial a retrograde approach. Previous reports show that has shorter reperfusion time better prognosis, but re-occlusion after recanalization may occur. We describe case with repeated occlusions using discuss possible countermeasures. A 94-year-old woman presented acute cerebral ischemia due to T left internal (ICA) severe stenosis cervical artery. Mechanical was performed stent retriever, resulting in complete circulation through ICA 1 pass. The thrombus dispersed distally from re-occluded M1 twice, requiring re-retrieval each time. can result lesion. Thrombi lesions usually fragile.
