ABSTRACT
Background: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) occurs with the pathological accumulation of fat in and is one most common disorders worldwide among adults even children. Obesity a risk factor for NAFLD. Objectives: Considering increasing prevalence obesity Iran worldwide, this study was conducted to determine NAFLD its related factors overweight obese students schools Tehran, Iran. Methods: This cross-sectional performed on 115 [body mass index (BMI) ≥ 25] an age range 7 - 17 years. Eligible individuals were classified into two groups without Liver ultrasonography measurement serum parameters, including fasting blood sugar, lipid profile, enzymes, performed. Next, demographic anthropometric characteristics compared between groups. Results: Out studied students, 71 subjects boys (61.7%). The results showed that mean BMI patients significantly higher than (P = 0.03).
