ABSTRACT
Background: Today, improving the quality of life for elderly is great importance. In addition, creating a favorable environment has become common concern worldwide. Objectives: The aim this study was to assess psychometric properties Persian version (CASP- 19) in older people. Methods: included 200 participants. CASP-19 instrument people adapted language through translation and translation-back procedure. Afterwards, reliability (internal consistency test-retest) validity (including face validity, content factor analysis, known groups, criterion validity), assessing correlation between SF-36, were measured. Results: Based on internal (Cronbach > s α), 0.97 four subscales varied from 0.93 0.97. Test-retest (Pearson's coefficient) Farsi ranged 0.87 0.94. Evaluation discriminant indicated power terms presence or absence curtailment personal autonomy. Criterion significant many dimensions SF-36. Conclusions: This confirmed construct, convergent, validity. Besides, it showed an acceptable consistency. valid investigating needs Iranian elderly.
