ABSTRACT
Background: Gastric Helicobacter pylori is extremely common worldwide.Objectives: The aim of this study was to assess the effectiveness combination Nigella sativa and honey (Dosin) in eradication gastric H. infection.Patients Methods: Nineteen patients who had positive result for infection by urea breath test (UBT) without a past history peptic ulcer, cancer or gastrointestinal bleeding, were suggested receive one teaspoon mixture Dosin (6 g/day N. as ground seeds 12 honey) three times day after meals two weeks.The second UBT used detect presence four weeks completion test.In addition, symptoms dyspepsia scored before analyzed with Wilcoxon signed-rank test.Results: Fourteen completed study.Negative observed 57.1% (8/14) participants intervention.The median interquartile range (IQR) total significantly reduced from 5.5 (5 -12) 1 (0 -4) (P = 0.005).All tolerated except excluded due mild diarrhea.No serious adverse events reported.Conclusions: concluded be an anti anti-dyspeptic agent.Further studies are recommended investigate effect plus antibiotics (concurrently following another) on infection.
