Facing Disaster During a COVID-19 Outbreak: What Emergency Medicine Experts Should Know?

Context: Since December 2019, the new coronavirus (COVID-19) has been identified as one of significant challenges in health systems countries. Recently, development and equipping hospitals medical centers have considered a priority, providing variety advanced services areas diagnostic, therapeutic, supportive to patients. The present review aimed shed light on importance crucial role knowledge field emergency medicine during COVID-19 pandemic compare local international guidelines. Finally, addition workplace practitioners’ acts, alongside especial need frequently disinfect with appropriate antiseptic materials, negative pressure ventilation should also be triage rooms. Besides, personal protection requirements sufficiently accessible, physicians trained use them properly while adhering safety principles. It is recommended cap, gown, mask, shield, gloves treatment, diagnostic measures, practice frequent hand washing materials like alcohol solutions, it reduces risk infection transmission. Moreover, imperative that nurses working emergencies follow all principles at end shift before entering their homes. Conclusions: Ultimately, final goal reduce virus transmission through early detection, supportive, therapeutic actions, follow-up.
