Perceived Behavioral Etiology of Cardiovascular Diseases Is Able to Predict a Health-Promoting Lifestyle in Men Under Methadone Therapy in Kermanshah City, 2017

Objectives: The present study was conducted to examine the relationship between perceived behavioral risk factors of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) and health-promoting lifestyle in men under methadone therapy. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 68 patients who referred methadone-maintenance treatment (MMT) centers Kermanshah city were assessed during September 2017. Perceived heart scale (PHRFS) health promoting profile (HPLP-II) used for data collection. analyzed using multivariate linear regression analysis. Results: mean age 39.4 ± 13.3 years. results correlation analysis showed that there a significant direct all subscales HPLP-II (P < 0.001). model generally could explain variance 14.9% 35.8% related healthy components. Conclusions: It can be concluded understanding harmful behavior patterns by drug addicts therapy may lead adopting comprehensive lifestyle. Training must focused on improved knowledge perception about CVDs.
