ABSTRACT
Objective: Candida species are the most common infectious agents among pathogens responsible for nosocomial fungal infections. Transmissions in intensive care units account a significant proportion of mortality and morbidity associated with candida The present study evaluates prevalence, type, treatment approach, underlying risk factors, outcomes infections patients treated pediatric unit Türkiye dense population children who have fled war Syria. Methods: was conducted 14-bed tertiary city hospital between March 2018 2019. Results: were reproduced studied samples 28 (15.7%) 176 during period. Mortality occurred six (21.4%) invasive candidiasis varying species, namely: C. lusitaniae (n=2); parapsilosis krusei (n=1), albicans considered cause five non-survivors. Resistance to liposomal amphotericin-B observed isolated from Conclusion: In study, prolonged stay unit, higher number indwelling medical devices, use broad-spectrum antibiotics, presence an condition, renal failure increase incidence infection.
