<jats:p>Bruxism is a parafunctional activity of the masticatory system, which characterized by clenching or scraping teeth. This condition often accompanied change in shape and size teeth, as well function stomatognathic system. Bruxism can occur during sleep waking state. The etiology multifactorial all causes be divided into peripheral central. clinical signs symptoms bruxism are primarily temporomandibular disorders, appearance bruxofacets changes hard dental tissues, supporting apparatus teeth muscles, headaches. diagnosis made on basis anamnesis symptoms, while electromyography polysomnographic analysis used scientific researches. Therapy aimed at controlling etiological factors reducing symptoms. Occlusal splints most commonly treatment bruxism. Medications situations when other methods, including psychotherapy, do not give positive results.
