ABSTRACT
This article deals with the development of a numerical tool based on an integrated synthesis model to carry out first project cycle floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) platforms produce, process, store, and export (LNG). The topside configuration, tank geometry capacity, production levels, equipment list, environmental operating conditions, classification society requirements, structure, stability, seakeeping are considered in single model, generating sufficiently large number solutions. case generation evaluation process performed hierarchically, dividing parameters into groups better solve solution space, which cannot be achieved conventional techniques such as traditional point-based design. methodology is applied study design three FLNG different levels (2, 3, 4 million metric tons per year). Performance defined evaluated, optimizing downtime, structural mass, load capacity. resulting compared existing dimensions. Essential conclusions drawn about improvements, key dimensions, quantity, configuration tanks, freeboard specifications, draft. developed framework proved quick useful for early stages project.
