ABSTRACT
Objectives: Our objective in this study was to establish the relationships among active and inactive physical activity, HRQoL, weight stigma children. Additionally, we investigated as a mediator of relationship between activity HRQoL. Methods: This cross-sectional conducted Hong Kong (June 2017-July 2018). Participants were 437 children elementary school (2 primary schools 2 non-governmental organizations) their parents (dyads). completed questionnaires containing items assessing demographic characteristics, level, several HRQoL measures. Results: We found statistically significant difference higher physically group (exercise > hours/week) all measures Weight had mediating effect on child-rated (Coefficient = -0.37; SE=0.05; t 8.21; p < .001), parent-rated -0.16; SE 0.04; 4.21; weight-related QoL -0.56; 14.92; .001). Conclusions: Physical associated with better lower stigma. appears affect how is related but association somewhat weak.
