ABSTRACT
Several previous studies have shown that the development of depression is often accompanied by chronic diseases; although closely related, mechanism between them not clear. Here we investigate potential role functional limitations, social interaction, and life satisfaction in relationship diseases depressive symptoms middle-aged older adults China.We selected 2407 respondents aged ≥45 from China Health Retirement Longitudinal Study conducted 2013, 2015, 2018. We established panel data to estimate longitudinal impact on mediating satisfaction.Chronic were associated with more symptoms. All pathways examined passed approximately 43.4% association was explained these three variables.The primarily mediated interaction also confirmed. Therefore, attention should be paid reducing level limitation improving increasing opportunities alleviate adults.
