In a bizarre coincidence, three important Canadian women composers from the same generation recently died within five weeks of each other: Barbara Pentland on 6 February 2000, Violet Archer 22 and Jean Coulthard 9 March 2000. As tribute to their lives work, this colloquy gathers remembrances them by friends colleagues, ranging brief anecdotes extended memoirs. It is thus collection primary documents, which yield many new insights into our composers, personal habits way they taught composition.
