ABSTRACT
Achyranthes japonica Nakai (AJN) is grown mainly in the warm regions of South Korea. It a high-value medicinal plant with various pharmacological effects, including joint protection, obesity prevention, and diabetes prevention. AJN valued for its roots, it takes approximately two years from sowing before roots can be harvested. Therefore, this study sought to develop better cultivation technology microgreen form vertical farm confirm bioactive compounds antioxidant capacity according amount. After soaking seeds three days, they were sown growing tray drain holes (31.5 × 23 7.5 cm, L W H) filled commercial ginseng soil mix medium subjected experimentation. seedlings which had been germinated dark four days farm. The treatment groups tested at 0.5, 1.0 2.0 g. As amount was increased, fresh dry weights increased. Meanwhile, weight relative showed greatest efficiency 0.5 Depending on phenol content highest g, flavonoid Based previous results, appropriate sow g or less considering growth economic feasibility; therefore, 14 per m2 determined here. confirmed that 20-hydroxyecdysone, main secondary metabolite mature AJN, also present AJN; 20E higher than level leaves stems open field, but 2.1 times microgreens. These results show valuable material.
