ABSTRACT
Nowadays, the daily work of many research communities is characterized by an increasing amount and complexity data. This makes it increasingly difficult to manage, access utilize ultimately gain scientific insights based on it. At same time, domain scientists want focus their science instead IT. The solution data management in order store a structured way enable easy discovery for future reference. An integral part use metadata. With it, becomes accessible its content only name location. metadata shall be as automatic seamless possible foster high usability. Here we present architecture initial steps MASi project with aim build comprehensive service. First, extends existing KIT Data Manager framework generic programming interface graphical web interface. Advanced additional features includes integration provenance persistent identifiers. service aims at being easily adaptable arbitrary limited effort. requirements cases within geography, chemistry digital humanities are elucidated. currently built up satisfy these complex varying efficient way.
