ABSTRACT
Accumulating evidence has shown that microRNAs are involved in cancer development and progression. However, it remains unknown about the potential role of miR-19a pathogenesis gastric cancer. Here, we report suppressor cytokine signaling 1 (SOCS1) is a novel target cells expression inversely correlated with SOCS1 subset tissues. Ectopic dramatically promoted proliferation tumorigenicity both vitro vivo. Moreover, showed silencing cell growth colony formation resembling overexpression, whereas re-introduction (without 3'-UTR) attenuated pro-tumorigenic functions. Taken together, our findings suggest gene direct miR-19a, which functions as an oncogenic miRNA by repressing tumor SOCS1.
