Female Breast Cancer Mortality Rates in Turkey

ABSTRACT
The main objective of this study was to analyze the mortality trends female breast cancer in Turkey between years 1987-2008. rates per 100,000 age-standardized European standard population were assessed and time presented using joinpoint regression analysis. Average annual percent change (AAPC), anual (APC) 95% confidence interval (CI) calculated. Nearly 23,000 deaths occurred during period 1987-2008, with average rate (ASR) being 11.9 women. In last five years, significant increases observed all age groups, but there no over 65. period, biggest increase 45-54 group (AAPC=4.3, 95%CI=2.6 6.0).
