Effects of Perceived Smoking-Cancer Relationship and Cardiovascular Health Attitudes on Childrens' Views of Smoking

ABSTRACT
This study was conducted with the aim of determining how students' perceived smoking-cancer relationship and cardiovascular health attitudes affect childrens' views smoking.The sample this descriptive-cross sectional comprised 574 subjects between ages 11-15. The data were collected using Children's Cardiovascular Health Promotion Attitude Scale Decisional Balance Measure for Assessing Predicting Smoking Status. Correlation logistic regression used analysis.It determined that a statistically significant exists children towards smoking their ideas about cancer, which is negative low (r=-0.223). There also smoking, again at level (r=0.257). It cancer 9.4 times less likely to have positive/negative while positive made 3.9 likely.It students perceptions reduced smoking.
