ABSTRACT
Depression is one of the leading causes global disease burden, affecting millions people worldwide. The availability mental health treatment, however, remains very limited in many low-middle income countries, including Indonesia. Internet-based interventions are known to have potential deliver treatment economically and appropriately according numerous studies conducted high-income countries. In current study, we describe a systematic cultural adaptation an internet-based behavioral activation intervention for depression Indonesia, named Guided Act Feel During adaptation, relevant stakeholders were involved, licensed clinical psychologists, communities, lay counselors, patients. used formative method adapting psychotherapy (FMAP) adapt eight important elements (language, persons, metaphors, content, concepts, goals, methods, context). was adapted from original Dutch version called Doe en Voel, consisting 8 structured modules that offered secure online environment. being delivered during ongoing randomized controlled trial with non-face-to-face support counselors who work under supervision psychologists. challenges faced discussed.
