ABSTRACT
Adipic acid production through catalytic conversion of cyclohexanol-cyclohexanone using polyoxometalate H 5 [ a -BW 12 O 40 ] and 4 -SiW as catalysts was carried out systematically. Polyoxometalates were synthesized an inorganic synthesis method characterized Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). formed from by melting point measurement, identification functional group FTIR spectrophotometer, analysis gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), 1 13 C NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance) spectrophotometer. This research investigated the influence reaction time temperature on conversion. The results showed that adipic successfully with yield 68% catalyst 150-152 ° after optimization. In contrast, catalyst, formation only 3.7%. Investigation 9 h optimum 90 for up to 68%. Identification FTIR, H, in agreement standard data literatures. GC-MS indicated several by-products catalysts.
