Predictive distribution modeling for Eranthis hyemalis (Ranunculaceae) – a species of special conservation interest in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Eranthis hyemalis occurs in the temperate region of South Europe and Balkans.Due to its limited distribution small population sizes, conservation status varies.Based on 16 georeferenced localities from Bosnia Herzegovina 19 bioclimatic variables extracted WorldClim dataset, a species model for area Western Balkans is produced MaxEnt.The highest score relative contribution MaxEnt goes precipitation seasonality (57,7%), mean diurnal temperature range (17,2%) isothermality (8,6%).The predicts that most suitable Winter Aconite lies NW Central E Serbia, which corresponds recently published data Serbia.
