ABSTRACT
TANGO1 binds and exports Procollagen VII from the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). In this study, we report a connection between cytoplasmic domain of SLY1, protein that is required for membrane fusion. Knockdown SLY1 by siRNA arrested in ER without affecting recruitment COPII components, general secretion, retrograde transport KDEL-containing BIP, ERGIC53. known to interact with ER-specific SNARE proteins Syntaxin 17 18, however only 18 was export. Neither nor export equally bulky I ER. Altogether, these findings reveal sorting collagen family members at highlight existence different pathways secretory cargoes one which mediated specific complex containing 18.
