ABSTRACT
Anterior cervical surgery is commonly used for vertebral body lesions. However, the structure of blood vessels and nerve tissues along route anterior complex. We aimed to measure data longus colli, sympathetic trunk (CST) ganglia in Chinese cadaver specimens. A total 32 adult cadavers were studied. delineated surgical anatomy CST. The superior inferior/cervicothoracic consistently appeared. middle ganglion was observed 28.1% specimens there 2 cases unilateral double ganglia. inferior 25.0% cervicothoracic remaining distance between CST gradually decreased from top bottom, medial edges colli broadened down. average angle bilateral midline vertebra 11.2°± 1.8°on left side 10.3°±1.4° on right side. margins both sides 11.1°±1.9°. at high risk when LC muscle cut transversely or dragged heavily, especially levels C6 C7. Awareness regional could help surgeons identify preserve it during surgeries.
