ABSTRACT
Introduction: Nutrition is one of the basic requirements for growth and development. In all age groups, good oral health necessary masticatory efficacy, sense taste, deglutition, articulation aesthetics. The aim this study was to assess relationship between tooth loss food intake in a group middle aged population. Materials Methods: A total number 200 participants with range 40-60 years were chosen divided into four groups. population classified groups by permanent teeth present. Required data gathered interviews, dental examinations, anthropometric measurements 24-hour dietary recall. Data analyzed statistically descriptive methods, Variance test, Kruskal-Wallis test Pearson’s chi-square test. Results: Statistical analysis proved that, controlling important confounding factors, individuals more had higher mean body mass index, weight, height, energy nutrient compared those fewer teeth.
