The applicability of oil palm biomass, EFB(Empty Fruit Bunch) as raw materials for environmental friendly packaging material, pulp mold, was evaluated in this study. changes the water absorption properties mold by addition EFB and surface treatments with PVA AKD were analyzed measuring rate contact angle. each sample prepared using laboratory wet molder. And samples times a 0.1 ml drop on surface. to made OCC resulted decrease increase showed significant reduction rate. However, case ONP no big times. Those might be come from finer structure which more flexible fibers hydrophilic fibers. results study functional such rate, could controlled application or PVA, especially mold.
