ABSTRACT
Hydatid disease is a zoonosis caused by parasite, Echinococcus granulosus, characterized cystic lesion in the liver, lung, or (rarely) other parts of body. Typical radiological findings make diagnosis easy and help surgeons to plan management hydatid disease. We report case giant hepatic cyst 12-year-old boy who presented with epigastric swelling pain for 6 months. Contrast-enhanced abdominal computed tomography were highly suggestive left lateral segment liver. Laparoscopic partial pericystectomy was done. The patient discharged on fifth postoperative day. took oral albendazole preoperatively postoperatively. cysts safe effective. approach recommended good technique controlled suction content. Surgery combined antihelminthics mainstay treatment hydatidosis.
