ABSTRACT
Background/Aims: Small subepithelial tumors (SETs) are often found incidentally during esophagoduodenoscopy, and EUS is a useful tool for assessing SETs.This study aimed to evaluate the natural history of SETs clarify predictive factors growth using EUS.Materials Methods: We retrospectively investigated less than 30 mm identified features.A significant increase in SET size was defined as lengthening more 25% longest diameter last follow-up features compared with initial study. Results: A total 99 patients 105 upper gastrointestinal were enrolled. The mean period 22.8 months.Among SETs, 12 (11.4%)were significantly larger at follow-up.Univariate analysis revealed that presence hypoechoic areas associated (P=0.021).In multivariate analysis, (OR, 8.96; 95% CI, 1.89∼42.54)and anechoic 7.85; 1.09∼56.37)were related SETs.Six showing removed, stromal tumors. Conclusions: Majority small showed no follow-up.Presence growth. Therefore, area or may be considered regular clinical field.(
